Wayne E. Huffman, 86, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Monday, May, 2023, at Miller's Merry Manor in Culver.
Wayne was born in Winamac, IN, to Sewell and Maxine (Riggleman) Huffman. He married Geraldine Null on September 5, 1964.
Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and sibling. He loved life and had a great sense of humor, always telling a joke or two. He enjoyed restoring antiques, playing cards, fishing, and spending time with family.
He was a very reliable employee his whole life, starting a career in the grocery business at National Foods and then moving on to working in the bakery business. He worked at Kreamo Bakery for most of his life and retired from New Horizon Bakery.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Geraldine, daughters: Jessica K. Johnson of Rolling Prairie, IN, Jody A. Scott of Cassopolis, MI, Cheryl A. (William) Rhodes of Culver, IN, and Lisa M. (Gordon) of Pullman, MI, and son, Race E. (Patricia) Hickman of Lakeville, IN, brothers, Bill Huffman of Aguilar, CO and Robert Huffman of North Liberty, IN, and sister, Rose (Norbert) Kilne of Bremen, IN. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sons: Scott Hickman, Jay, Jeff, and Lee Huffman.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday, June, 11, 2023, at the Lakeville United Methodist Church, 610 N Michigan St., Lakeville, IN, from 2:00 - 5:00 pm EDT to share memories followed by a brief remembrance service at 4:30 pm.
