Robert E. Weaver, 82, of Culver, Indiana, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on February 13, 2025 at Miller's Merry Manor, Culver.
Bob was born to Paul and Rosanna (Ortman) Weaver in Monterey, Indiana, on November 26, 1942. He and his sisters grew up in Monterey and he graduated from Monterey High School. He was married to Patricia Weaver until the time of her death. He later married Francis Weaver. When she passed away he later, in June 1999, married Sandra L. Johnson and they shared over 25 years together. He was blessed with five children and several grand- and great grandchildren.
Aside from being a dedicated father, Bob had a varied and impressive career. It consisted of farming, bulldozing, trucking, owning and operating a restaurant in Kewanna, Indiana, factories, and operating heavy equipment. He also owned and operated the DX service station in Monterey, Indiana.
Bob had a lifelong passion for rebuilding Oliver tractors, fixing vehicles and fishing. He was active in the community and through the Culver Lions Club from the age of 20. He adored children and animals, and was always willing to lend a hand with a smile on his face.
Bob leaved behind a legacy of hard work, love, and laughter. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Sandy, sons, Gary (Candy) Weaver and Tom (Kristy Shidler-Weaver) Weaver, stepsons - David (Kimberly) and Stephen (Lisa) Branson, sisters - Rosalie Watson and Debbie Penncarole, as well as many grand- and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son - Jonathan Bailey, 2 infant sons, daughter - Amanda Weaver, and sister - Pauline Summie.
A time to gather with the family will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 430 Academy Road, Culver, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10:00 - 10:45 AM EST. The Culver Lions Club will conduct a Lions memorial service at 10:45 AM EST with a Christian Burial Service following at 11:00 AM EST led by Rev. Tim Anderson. A dinner will follow the service.
