It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of their dear mother, Peggy Ann Thompson.
Peggy was born on September 25, 1933, in Walkerton, Indiana to Neal and Myrtle (Davis) Shock and her life on earth ended on March 18, 2024. She was married to John Paul Thompson on June 23, 1950, and resided in Culver, Indiana all of her life until a recent move to Terre Haute, Indiana to live closer to two of her daughters.
John preceded her in death and she became a widow and single parent at 39 years of age. Truly her life displayed kindness and care toward others. She put her three daughters and family first in her life. Always praying for and encouraging them. She spent time with and listened to them. Clearly, teaching them important life values that they still live by today. She set an example of strength and resilience when faced with difficulties and obstacles. All the while showing grace and thoughtfulness. Family gatherings were by far the best times of her life. She enjoyed the fun, contagious laughter and love that the family all has for one another. Peggy worked hard to support her family and retired from the Culver Military Academy. Her girls honor and revere her for everything she has done for them. They grieve her passing and will miss the joy she brought into their lives.
During her last months, her daughters continued to pray for her, remind her of family memories, gently held her hands and made sure she understood she was cared for and deeply loved.
