Peggy Personette, 63, of Culver, IN, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends, at 11:12 AM on January 30, 2025.
Peggy was born on November 5, 1961, in Plymouth, IN, to Winferd and Clara (White) Hansen. She was the youngest of 4 children. She was a lifetime resident of Culver and a 1980 graduate of Culver Community High School. On October 21, 1994, she married Richard Lowry. She later married Richard Personette on November 11, 2011.
Peggy was a lifelong member of the VFW Post 6919 Ladies Auxiliary. She worked for Indiana Supermarkets for over 30 years, many of those years as the manager of the Culver Park 'N' Shop. She later worked for Elkay Wood Products for over 10 years.
Peggy loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grand babies. She had a deep love of music and enjoyed camping and gardening, especially her beloved tomatoes. She loved visiting the beach, especially near the ocean and she was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, always putting her family first.
Peggy is survived by her daughter: Shawna (Mike) Ulch Hawkins of Culver, sons: Troy (Mallory) Ulch of Bremen, and Tyler (Morgan) Lowry of Rochester, grandchildren: Emily and Sophia Hawkins, Sadie, Brooklyn, and Matthew Ulch, and Carsen and Briggs Lowry. She was preceded in death by her parents: Winferd and Clara Hansen, husbands: Richard Lowry and Richard Personette, and grandson: Parker Lowry.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth, IN.
