Larry Lee Zechiel, 84, of Culver, Indiana, passed away on September 12, 2024.
Larry was born to Ferris and Leona (Grosvenor) Zechiel on July 18, 1940, in Culver, Indiana. He graduated from high school in 1959 and lived his life on the farm where his family farmed for several generations. In 1963, he married Ruth Ann Sharp and together they raised three children. Larry was a member of the International Harvester Collector's Club Chapter 33 and served several years on the Fulton Co. Farm Bureau. He enjoyed tractor pulls.
Larry leaves his wife, Ruth Ann "Sharp" Zechiel, children: Susan Jane (Marty) Mansfield, Larry Dean (Tina) Zechiel, and Jo Ann Zechiel. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Alexandra Zechiel, Katelynn Miller, Kurtis Zechiel, Abigail Mansfield, Carson Mansfield, and Cameron Mansfield, 3 great grandchildren: Caroline, Finleigh, and McCoy Miller, sister: Betty (Stan) Reinholt and their children: Ryan Reinholt and Beth Herzog.
A time of visitation with the family will be held at the Odom Funeral Home, Culver, on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM EST. Rev. Robert Metzger will officiate the funeral service on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM EST at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Argos, Indiana.
