It is with heavy hearts the family of Jim Grover says goodbye to a remarkable man who was more than just a father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he was the heart and soul of the family.
Jim was born to Marvin and Edith (Warner) Grover on January 7, 1937 in Culver, Indiana. He was a graduate of Culver High School and later served his country in the National Guard. On January 17, 1959 he married Judith K. Heeter and they started a family.
Jim spent many years working for Bennett's in Culver. He later continued this type of work in and around Culver and the lake until he fully retired.
Jim's love and care for his family knew no bounds. He was the glue that held the family together. Though ornery at times, his lighthearted sense of humor brought joy to every room he entered. His kindness and generosity impacted more lives than he would ever know. Jim's memory will forever remain, cherished by all who knew him.
Jim is survived by his children: Kathryn Grover of Columbus, Ohio, Deborah (Gerald) Carlson of Culver, Indiana, and Michael Grover (Jennifer Foxworthy) of Culver, Indiana, his grandchildren: Kevin (Ashley) Carlson, Diana (Tim) Day, Chris (Jenna) Carlson, Kayla Grover, Michael Grover, and Kimberly (Dan) Turk, and great grandchildren: Hudson, Lily, Claire, Annabelle, Finn, Liam, Wyatt, Archer, and Maddison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Edith Grover, and his wife, Judith Grover.
