James C. Fleury, 80, of Sheridan, formerly of Monterey, passed away at Majestic Care of Sheridan on February 5, 2025.
Jim was born to James E. and Genevieve (Allen) Fleury. He married Arlene Patrick on October 13, 1972 and they had three children: Tina, James, and Jamie.
Jim worked in manufacturing until he retired. He was active in his community through volunteerism, the Roman Catholic Church, and service on the Monterey Town Board. He loved Jesus, his family, and his community. His favorite hymns were Amazing Grace and How Great Thou Art. His favorite football team was the Green Bay Packers.
Jim is survived by his wife, Arlene, two daughters, Tina (Josh) Primm and Jamie (life partner, Les McFarland), his grandchildren: Jonah Madalitso and Aaron Mphatso Primm, Allena (Logan) Schneider, Hannah, Doyle and Naomi Peacock, his honorary grandchildren: Sarah Lukenbill, David, Curtis and Rebekah Peacock, and great granddaughter, Josephine (daughter of Allena and Logan).
He was preceded in death by his parents, son James 'Jimmy', and brother, Edward 'Chico'.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, Culver, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, with a time to gather at 9:00 AM EST. The rosary will begin at 9:30 AM followed by Mass at 10:00 AM EST.
