Diana Marie Collins, 60, of Delong, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Diana was born on September 16, 1964, in Rochester, Indiana, to Emerson Barker and Violet Clingler. She was raised in the Delong area, spending much of her time with lifelong best friend, Judy Scroggs. She married Buck Howard and had 2 beautiful children while working at Federal Mogul for 14 yers. She later married Shawn Collins and moved to Morehead, Kentucky where she worked for US Bank as head teller for 8 years.
Diana had a great love for children, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, all types of board and card games, and was known for her love of making Christmas goodies.
Diana is survived by her daughter, Amanda Sparks, of Louisville, Kentucky, son, Zachary (Jessica) Howard of Morehead, Kentucky, sisters, Trella Miller of Salyersville, Kentucky and Judy Randles of Alliance, Ohio, brothers: Larry Farris of Leiters Ford, Indiana, Tom (Karen) Chaney of North Manchester, Indiana, Tim (Marsha) Chaney of Tennessee, and Marty (Tina) Barker of Ohio, grandchildren, Haley Sparks, Kevin Sparks Jr., Brantly Howard, and Lucas Howard, several nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend, Judy Scroggs of Kewanna, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, stepfather, Eugene Farris, and sister, Pamela Miller.
A time of visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the Delong Gospel Lighthouse Church in Delong, Indiana from 12:00 - 3:00 PM EST with funeral service led by Rev. Pat Allen at 3:00 PM EST. Burial will follow at Leiters Ford IOOF Cemetery.
