Dester Fred Miller, Jr., 75, of Rochester, Indiana, passed away at home on August 21, 2023, with his loving wife by his side.
Fred was born to Dester and Lorene (Ogden) Miller on July 30, 1948, in Boonville, Missouri. After graduating high school he continued is education and earned his B.S. degree. Fred served in the US Army and spent many years overseas in South Korea serving in military intelligence. He was married to Barbara J. Etheridge on June 5, 1981, in Lawson, Missouri. Together they raised their blended family in Missouri and Pennsylvania. Fred was a supervisor for Medtronic in Warsaw, Indiana.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, of Rochester, Fred is survived by his stepson, Jeffery (Jessica) Davidson of Aurora, Missouri, stepdaughter, Shelley (Brian) Willouer of Lees Summit, Missouri, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nephews, Quinton and Brett Martin, and niece, Michelle Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Yvonne Johnson.
A celebration of Fred’s life will be planned at a later date.
