David H. Bigley, 88, of Culver passed away peacefully at his home on May 26, 2023.
Dave was born on February 20, 1935 in Culver, one of 2 children born to John F. and Beatrice J. (Rassner) Bigley. Dave and his brother, Bryce, grew up working in the family business, Bigley's Orchard. It was started by their parents in 1927. After graduating high school Dave went to college and earned a Bachelors degree in horticulture. He later married Ladyne Reinholt and they had 3 children before later divorcing. Dave continued to operate the family orchard which had been such a big part of his life since childhood.
David is survived by his children: Thomas D. Bigley of Culver, Indiana, Timothy A. Bigley of McDonough, Georgia, and Teresa D. Bigley of Warsaw, Indiana, his brother, Bryce Bigley of Culver, Indiana, grandchildren: Laken, Shane, Thad, Zane, and Jake, and great grandchildren: Phoenix, Jax, and Aria. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren: Amber and Amy.
Per his wishes, there will be no services.
