Billie G. McCarty Sr., 82, of Culver passed away on January 5, 2025.
Bill was born on October 11, 1942, in Ohio. He was one of eleven children born to John and Florence (Reynolds) McCarty.
As a child Bill lived in Kentucky. His family migrated to Indiana and eventually settled in Hibbard. There he met Julia R. Funk and they were married November 6, 1965. . Together they raised son, Billie Jr..
Bill is survived by his son, Billie, of Culver, sisters: Eva (Rick) Murphy of Rolling Prairie, IN and Ava (Rodney) Correll of Rochester, IN, brother: John McCarty of Knox, IN, granddaughter, Olivia (Joel) Wiseman of Mishawaka and great grandchildren, Lyla Niedbalski and Freya Wiseman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and several brothers and a sister His brother, Dan, followed him in death January 13, 2025.
A time to gather with the family will be held at the Odom Funeral Home, Culver, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM EST with funeral services to follow. Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.
