Barbara Haines left this world on May 20, 2024.
Barbara was born December 4, 1933, to Lowry Ansel and Helen Carter Burkhart. She graduated from Anderson High School in the early 1950s. After graduation she married George Richardson, together they had four sons. They later divorced and she married Jack Haines. She studied at Bob Ross Studio and was an avid painter as well as a jewelry maker.
Barbara is survived by two brothers: Tony Burkhart of Indianapolis and Michael Burkhart of Ohio, son: Robert (Tami) Richardson of Rochester, grandchildren: Jason (Carrie) Richardson of Shelbyville, Michael Richardson of Shelbyville, Melissa McCarthy of Yuma, AZ, Eric (Tiffany) Richardson of
Elkhart, Lindsey Richardson of Goshen, Brian Richardson of Indianapolis, and Gage Richardson of Jacksonville, FL, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lowry Ansel and Helen, brother, Larry Carter, husbands, George Richardson and Jack Haines, and sons, Larry, Steve, and Tim Richardson.
A graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow.
