Linda C. Pyle, 60, of Lake Station, Indiana, passed away at home on June 27, 2022.
Linda was born to Jack and Imogene (Mitchell) Pyle in Hammond, Indiana, on September 8, 1961. She was the third of their five children. Linda grew up in Hammond and after high school went on to earn an Associates Degree in Accounting.
Linda married Glyn Walker and together they had two sons. After their divorce, they were able to remain friends and
co-parent their boys. Tim described her as loving and
strong-willed. She was also kind and compassionate, helping anyone in need when she could.
Linda was a crafty person, not only creating things through crocheting and sewing, but she was good at repurposing things, taking old and used things and making them useful again. She had a love for plants and adored her dogs, George and Charlie. Her greatest love, however, was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her sons: Tim (Jennifer) Walker and Chris (Sherry) Walker of Hebron, IN sisters, Beverly Pyle of Indianapolis, and Judy Matthews of Minneapolis brothers, Don (Lisa) Pyle of Texas and Dennis (Jackie) Pyle of Alabama grandchildren, Nathan, Wyatt, and Ruby Walker several nieces and nephews uncle, Gordon (Vicki) Mitchell of Stonefort, IL aunt, Sharon Mitchell of Benton, IL, and a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by both parents and several aunts and uncles.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.
