Alice M. Lutz, 96, of Culver, passed away on September 25, 2022, in Culver.
Alice was born to Jacob and Helen (Stirling) Beerwert on March 17, 1926, in Delong, Indiana. She grew up and attended school in Leiters Ford. After leaving school, she married George Baker. After their divorce, Alice went to work for Bill Snyder at the hardware store. She also ran his laundromat in Culver for many years. While managing the laundromat she met Don Lutz, who was a regular patron. After getting to know one another they fell in love and married on October 23, 1965, in Peru, Indiana. They shared 56 years of marriage.
Alice enjoyed playing BINGO, her flower garden, spending time with her extended family, and loved her kittens, Tabby and Bootsie, who preceded her in death.
Alice is survived by her husband, Don Lutz, of Culver, son, Rick (Christine) Baker of Culver, stepson, Jens (Sue) Lutz of Blabenborough, NC, daughter-in-law, Judy Baker of Oak Grove, IN, son-in-law, Randy Banks of Culver, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son George Baker, daughter, Gloria Banks, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters.
A time to gather with the family will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, at the Odom Funeral Home in Culver from 10:00 - 11:30 am EST. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Monterey.
Memorials may be given to the Marshall Co. Humane Society in Alice's memory.
