Agnes Ophelia Carter, 90, a native of Alabama and resident of Sandy, Utah, passed away on her 90th birthday, Thursday, November 3, 2022.
Agnes was born in Atmore, Alabama and spent most of her life residing in Pensacola, Florida and Fairhope, Alabama. She moved to Utah following the death of her husband, Donald Lee Carter.
Agnes worked in the retail and food service industries. She was an amazing southern cook, a homemaker with the gift of hospitality that often included delicious southern meals, and an incredible gardener with a love for all kinds of plants and flowers.
She is survived by one sister, Jessie Perry of Abbeville, Alabama her son, Randy (Heidi) Carter of Sandy, Utah grandchildren, Brandon (Kayla) Carter of Columbus, Ohio, Lauren Carter of Seattle, Washington and Austin Carter of Sandy, Utah and one great-grandchild, Nolan Carter of Columbus, Ohio.
At Agnes' request no services will be held. Interment will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee or to your favorite charity.
